I have a little problem.
I have been spending way too much time on the computer.
Between e-mails, this stupid blog, finding a lot of my old friends on Facebook,
blah, blah, blah, etc, etc, etc,
the machine of doom has begun to rule my free time.
SO . . .
BS & I tried a little experiment yesterday. I put up a status message about it on Facebook:
"...will spend the whole day tomorrow without the internet. No blog, no daily jigsaw puzzle, no e-mail, no reading other people's stuff, no Facebook (ergo no Farmtown). It's an experiment. Will I live? Certainly. Will it be good for me? Probably. By the end of the day will I be in the corner sucking my thumb? Likely."

The verdict? It was a surprisingly quiet, peaceful & tranquil day. I didn't even have the television on very much as background noise. I read a book. I went out for lunch with BS & my mother. I read some more. I made muffins.
BS? He slept till 11:00 this morning, went to lunch with us, went straight to work and worked until 9:00 pm, then went out with friends. Wasn't so much of a hardship for him.
And no, I wasn't to be found in the corner sucking my thumb.
It was a nice, enjoyable day. I may just do this on a regular basis.
Although, at 12:01 am, I fired up this thing to post about it. What does that mean?
